This beginning class is intended to familiarize students with the basics of Blender. Blender is a free to use 3D rendering program that can be used for modeling, animation, video editing, texturing and exporting to the coveted STL file (i.e. 3D Printing). In this class, we will go over the basics of Blender; the interface, basic controls, methods of sculpting and editing a mesh and good habits to get you started in the world of 3D rendering!

Requirements: Download Blender from <a>http://blender.org.</a&gt; Bring a laptop with a separate numeric keypad, an external mouse with 3 buttons and middle scroll wheel, and a mouse pad. If your laptop does not have a suitable keyboard, we’ll have loaner USB keyboards.

Members $5; non-members $15

The member price is for paid members of Tampa Hackerspace. Information on becoming a paid member can be found on our website. If you wish to use a credit card, you can prepay for the class at our Square Marketplace.

Your intrepid instructor is J Kent, a certified blacksmith and leathersmith who has also done work with bronze/aluminum casting as well as epoxy-resin casting. He trained in art at USF and can touch his nose with his tongue.
