This event will be an informal workshop that is open to the public to captivate people of diverse backgrounds and experiences. Our intention is to extend a collaborative environment that fosters learning and offer potential resources for the community. We hope to inspire some members’ interests that may be related to: improving devices in research and development, fabricating a safe and functional device to serve amputees, pursue a career involving prostheses or orthoses, or affiliate in an area that goes beyond e-Nable.

In preparation for this workshop, we will be 3D printing the parts so that we can assemble one or two prosthetic hands as demos of the technology.

Please join us if you have an interest in 3D printing and would like to learn how to contribute to e-Nable. More information on the community can be found at enablingthefuture.org. Please submit an “I can help” form to stay informed about match ups, training, etc.

Filament provided by Chris at makersupplier.com. Printed on our new 3D printer from DeltaMaker.

This event is free to both members and non-members of Tampa Hackerspace.
