We’re opening our doors to families for our Kid’s Open Make program. For this special KOM, we’re going to participate in the Cardboard Challenge, We’ll be planning our build and getting things ready in our final September KOM but if you missed it, don’t let that keep you away!

After we watch Caine’s Arcade, we’ll be constructing something special as part of the day of play. Kids are welcome to participate in our build or create something for themselves.

Note: This is not a drop off activity. Parents must stay to supervise and assist their kids on projects.

We go through quite a bit of consumable materials in our Kid’s Open Make program. We keep a list of needed items on our wiki.

Donations are always gratefully accepted. Look for the donation jar when you get here.

Last weekend, we designed and decorated the windmill blades. We also figured out the generator mechanism to turn this into an actual working machine. The generator is from the guts of an old printer.
