This beginning class is intended to familiarize students with the basics of Blender. Blender is a free to use 3D rendering program that can be used for modeling, animation, video editing, texturing and exporting to the coveted STL file (i.e. 3D Printing). In this class, we will go over the basics of Blender; the interface, basic controls, methods of sculpting and editing a mesh and good habits to get you started in the world of 3D rendering!
Requirements: Download Blender from <a>http://blender.org.</a> Bring a laptop with a separate numeric keypad, an external mouse with 3 buttons and middle scroll wheel, and a mouse pad. If your laptop does not have a suitable keyboard, we’ll have loaner USB keyboards.
Members $5; non-members $15

Your intrepid instructor is J Kent, a certified blacksmith and leathersmith who has also done work with bronze/aluminum casting as well as epoxy-resin casting. He trained in art at USF and can touch his nose with his tongue.
