This is a special build for a 250 mm frame quad copter. Students will be required to purchase all the parts from a BOM (Bill Of Materials) that will be provided to students who sign up and pay for this “special edition” class in advance. These parts are from a seperate vendor (not the Hackerspace). We will provide soldering Irons and tools for the builds. At the end of the class participants will have a quad-copter capable of flight using a transmitter and receiver of their choice (not included in the BOM). The cost of materials is about $160. This class is taught by Alan Chervitz and George Papabeis. MR 101 is not a prerequisite, but is highly recommended.

$5 for members; $15 for non-members. The member price is for paid members of Tampa Hackerspace. Information on becoming a paid member can be found on our website. To facilitate getting the class started on time, you can prepay for the class at our Square Marketplace. If we fill up, prepayment will be mandatory and we’ll make an announcement in the comments for this meetup.

George is a veteran multi-rotor enthusiast with an amazing depth of experience building and flying a wide assortment of multi-rotor designs including his own custom quads.

Please ONLY RSVP if you can make this meetup so the limited attendee slots remain available for those who really are attending. Thank you!
