Learn how to take a piece of wood or epoxy (a blank), and go through the steps to turn it on the lathe to end with a finished pen. At the end of the class, you’ll have a beautiful, custom pen you made yourself and you’ll be signed off on the mini-lathe and drill press.
The instructor, Jeremiah Kroeger is an experienced woodworker with more than 11 years of experience as a carpenter and woodworker. He loves turning raw material into beautiful pieces.
The class includes hands on turning and finishing your own pen. All materials for one pen are included in the class registration.
The class is $35 for members and $45 for non-members. When you RSVP, you’ll need to prepay for the class. Unpaid registrations will be moved off the roster after 24 hours. Payment can be made at our Square Marketplace store at https://squareup.com/store/tampahackerspace/item/pen-turning
Information on becoming a paid member can be found on our website (http://tampahackerspace.com/membership).
