High Tech Fabrication Lab
We have multiple 3D printers available. We have a laser cutter that can etch and cut materials like acrylic sheet, thin wood, or leather. We have a small vacuum former that can mold plastic around an existing object. We have a small CNC that can carve materials like wood and plastics. We have a CAD station set up with Autodesk Inventor and other CAD software.
We have a class set of soldering stations and related equipment. We have oscilloscopes, a bench power supply, and a logic analyzer. We have a small stock of electronic parts.
[Our wood shop is currently (Jan 2016) being upgraded with new equipment: table saw, scroll saw, planer, jointer, drill press, sander, and dust control.]
We have a ShopBot CNC that can handle a 4’x8′ sheet of material. We have smaller drill presses, bandsaws, a disk / belt sander, radial arm saw, and numerous hand tools.
We have a vertical mill, multiple lathes, grinders, and a CNC. We do have some welding equipment but do not have a dedicated space for using it.
Arts / Crafts
We have a computer-controlled paper / vinyl cutter, a kiln, multiple sewing machines, a serger, and an embroidery machine.
We have numerous educational kits for kids including LEGO robotics, littleBits, Makey Makey, etc.
Coworking / Classrooms
We have a large workroom with 4’x8′ tables, white boards, and television that is shared with some of the fabrication equipment.
We have a smaller classroom / cowork room.
We have a small kitchen with a fridge, Keurig coffee maker, and microwave, but otherwise have no cooking facilities.
We have some on-site storage available for members.
